The origins of the mill stretch back in to the 12th century. Today the fifth generation of the Baltes-Dumont family runs the farm, and is the headquarters of a renowned engineering firm. For the owners and two other families, the place is living and working area together, and also offers space for up to 4 guests with the modern holiday apartment. The living room/kitchen is particularly popular with visitors. The sunny bedrooms have upscale, ecological furnishings and offer views of the river and the farm animals. Wood for the wood stove is available daily. The private beach on the Nette is special and is only available to guests and inhabitants of the Floecksmühle.
For a family holiday with light luggage: bed linens, hand towels and bikes are provided for free.
Enjoy some nice bread from the local baker upon arrival, eggs from our happy chickens and the fresh milk from the Korbsmühlenhof.

In the region, there are popular dream paths for moderate activity. Additional attractions are the Nürburgring (a magnet for techies), the Middle Rhine wine growing region and the Moselle, the MIddle Rhine Valley world heritage site with many castles and fortresses, in Andernach the only geyser in Europe, the lakes of the Volcanic Eifel and much more. We particularly love children. We are a learning farm and regularly greet school children from the region on farm project days.
Via the A48 to the town centre. At Hotel Arosa, turn left on to the L98 towards Mayen. About 1 km outside of the village at the lowest point of the valley, turn right onto an agricultural road. The Floecksmühle is right in front of you.
Via the A61 to Plaidt, follow the local road to the entrance to the village of Ochtendung. The first street on the right towards Fressenhöfe/Kruft leads into the Nettetal. Follow the road to the entrance "Korbsmühle", there turn left, follow the agricultural road (note, bumps and narrows on the cliffs) to the Floecksmühle.

I grew up as the middle child of an Ochtendung sales and butcher family. After education, university and working in the hotel industry, I'm now a consultant for regional economy on occupational points. I love to accompany children in interaction with animals and love being a learning farm hostess.
