Our holiday home is surrounded by a forest, meadows, and mountains, and it is particularly well suited to family holidays, family reunions, and holidays with friends.

fully equipped kitchen with a large dining table, stove, oven, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment, cutlery and kitchen utensils;
2 bedrooms on the upper floor with up to 4 beds each, an armchair and a side table, 1 room with TV
1 children's and play room with games and entertainment material;
large bathroom with shower/toilet on the ground floor, a small bathroom on the upper floor;
terrace with barbecue equipment, a large sunbathing and playing lawn with a play house;
a great view of the surrounding area;
additional guest room for 2 people, approx. 100 metres away;
Group holidays for up to 10 people are an option.
Our holiday home was completed in December 2016, and it has been refurnished completed with great care.
Our house is very well equipped for families with children.
Our holiday home makes for an ideal starting point for extensive hikes or short strolls, cycling tours and snow levels allowing, cross-country skiing and sleigh rides.
Trips to the surrounding area such as the Veste city of Coburg, the Toys Museum of Sonneberg, the medieval town of Seßlach or the thermal spa of Bad Rodach make for both impressive and relaxing moments.
Our immediate vicinity offers you the best conditions for hiking, relaxing, and active unwinding on two wheels or on skis.
If snow levels allow, you can go tobogganing, descent and cross-country skiing (ski trail network of up to 180 km) in the area.
Destinations for day trips: museums, demonstration workshops, caves, thermal bath, outdoor and indoor swimming pool, adventure playground, summer toboggan, tuning, mountain summits with a view into the distance, biosphere reserve
coming from all directions to A 73, take the Eisfeld-Nord exit, continue on the B281 towards Neuhaus/Rwg. continue until the end of Sigmundsburg (13 km), once there turn left into the small communication road towards Friedrichshöhe (2.5 km)
Pick-ups available from the Eisfeld or Neuhaus/Rwg. train stations can be arranged if you discuss this with us prior to your arrival.

We, Grit and Matthias, have three grown-up children. Grit works as a nursery teacher, and she absolutely loves children. Matthias takes care of the house, the yard, the garden, and anything else that needs to be taken care of. We love nature, and we are passionate hiker, and we love our magical home :)
