There aren't any shops or restaurants in the village itself. A mobile bakery stops by in the mornings, as does a mobile "corner shop" once a week. You'll find all the necessities - such as a supermarket, a doctor, a vet, a pharmacy, a car workshop, a post office, a bank and a few restaurants - in the neighbouring village 7km away.

We offer access to a tennis facility (indoor and outdoor courts) included in the rental price. Booking required. You can use the boules court in the village free of charge. There are sets of boules available in the holiday home.
Ménil-Lépinois is an idyllic village with 120 inhabitants set in a hilly landscape of fields in the north of the Champagne region. Reims, the vineyards of the Champagne region and the nearest offshoots of the Ardennes can be reached in 20 minutes by car. There's an extensive network of hiking trails ... explore them on foot, by bike or on horseback.
And if you've never been to Paris ... the TGV will take you to the Gare de l'Est in the centre of Paris in 40 minutes. We'll be happy to give you recommendations!
Travelling from the north via Charleville-Mézières on the A34: take the Châtelet-sur-Retourn exit, turn left, turn right after the bakery. You'll reach Ménil-Lépinois after 4km. The holiday house is located around 300m further on from the entrance to the village - you'll see it on the right-hand side.
Travelling from the south via Reims on the A34: take the Bazancourt exit towards Warmeriville, turn right to Warmeriville, follow signs to Ménil-Lépinois. Turn right at the intersection at the entrance to the village and drive to the next stop sign. You'll see the holiday house on the left-hand side.

When you book a stay - and after your booking has been confirmed and the deposit has been transferred - that booking represents a contract that both parties have to adhere to. The deposit will not be refunded for cancellations made at a later date. We recommend adding cancellation insurance to your holiday booking.
The deposit will be withheld for cancellations made up to and including 45 days before the arrival date. Cancellations made from 44 days before the arrival date will be charged a fee equal to 85% of the agreed rental price.

Thanks for you interest in our "Le Terrier Ensoleillé" holiday home! "We" are my husband Michaël, our dog "Ghosty" and me. Michaël was born in the Ardennes. I grew up in Germany and moved to France in 1998. We live just a few kilometres away from Reims and the first vineyards in the Champagne region on a 250-year-old farm. We renovated it together alongside our professional jobs. We built and crafted, dreamt up and rejected ideas, and all the while tried to respect the character of the walls that are nearly 300 years old. 2012 was the beginning of the final building phase: the barn became the holiday house with a swimming pool and fitness room ... modern design in old walls.
