The village of Prazeres is located in a rather wild area in the southwest of Madeira. It is one of the most beautiful villages on the island, surrounded by mountains, green valleys and hiking trails.
Worth seeing is the visit to the Quinta Pedagogica, a garden in the village of Prazeres, which is supported by the local church and runs a very well maintained mini zoo with various animals such as llamas, Vietnamese pigs and many more.
There are also flowers, fruits, a herb garden, a tea house and a playground for children. It is the perfect place to spend a pleasant afternoon.
