The coast of Gerani has been awarded the Blue Flag by the EEC, and is well organized with a lot of facilities such as sun chairs, umbrellas and showers while offering the chance to participate in a multitude of marine sports.. Pano Gerani, Modi, Loutraki, Manoliopoulo are all within a distance no longer than 4km. Furthermore one can visit the ancient city of Modea, which is just 1km from Gerani, where ancient cretan coins and other remains where found. There are many remarkable places which are waiting for you to explore and enjoy in combination with your unforgettable visit to the beach of Gerani in Crete island.
The apartments are located on the beach of Gerani village, a beautiful village in Chania, the second largest city of Crete. Stavros Villas and Apartments is in a perfect position to enjoy a rural, laid-back atmosphere but without being too remote, as a small mini-store 4 minutes down the country lane services your day-to-day needs while the village of Gerani is only a 12-15 minute walk away. Leaving the coast of Gerani, it is worthwhile taking a small walk to the nearby villages and enjoying the unspoilt nature and the unique Cretan hospitality
Chania Airport is the nearest to Gerani and Aghia-Marina about 40 minutes' drive, while Heraklion Airport is 2 hours away. We would recommend Chania for convenience. Chania has an international airport (code CHQ )with scheduled flights year round and abundant charter flights serving much of Europe during the season - April to October. Buses from the airport are virtually non-existent. If you're not driving, you should take a taxi. It’s 35-40 minutes’ drive from/to Gerani village and Agia Marina Village.

With advance notice, a hire car can be organised by the owners for one or two weeks for those who want a hire car. The car can be picked up from the airport for no additional cost. Please advise us at the time you make your booking.
