Historic watermill with private island. 5 bedrooms. Daily professional housekeeping for up to 2 hours (except Sundays). A private parking lot (space for 3 cars) and a bridge lead to the mill and another bridge to the private island (approx. 400 square metres), which is in the middle of the river, with large terrace. The hall has the look and feel of an additional living room. The river (the Dronne) is clean and rich in fish and is suitable for swimming. 2 canoes are available free of charge. The direct connection to the medieval village while at the same time offering privacy within the house and on the tree-lined island make this accommodation especially charming.
The watermill is located in the middle of the historic town of Bourdeilles, but at the same time you can have a place of your own thanks to the private island.
The furnishings with original art, antiques, a library and an extensive CD collection are above average; the location below the impressive Renaissance castle with a view of the old houses along the riverside is as romantic as it is spectacular.

Small , quaint village with castle and good infrastructure (supermarket, bakery, restaurants). Old cultural landscape of the Périgord with many sights (castles, stalactite caves, historical cities). Horseback riding is possible approx. 2 km outside the village. The town of Brantôme (the "Venice of the Perigord") is 9 km away. The famous Villars caves (stalactite cave with 17,000 year old rock carvings) are 20 km away. Perigueux with its romantic old town is 30 km away.
