The little romantic village of Portovaltravaglia is situated on Lake Maggiore, 5 km south of Luino and about a 15 minutes' drive from the Swiss border town of Ponte Tresa.
It has a harbour, small shops, a supermercato, bars and restaurants.
Portovaltravaglia is an ideal starting point for excursions to neighbouring cities such as Luino, Varese, Milan, Lugano, or to the Borromean Islands.
Porto is also an ideal starting point for hikes, cycling tours or swimming.
Getting there
The house is situated in a very quiet and sunny location just above Porto Valtravaglia with a stunning view of the lake and mountains. The town of Luino is approx. 5 km away, and the Swiss border approx. 20 km.

Das Ferienhaus am Lago Maggiore mit Blick auf den See war ein Traum. Der atemberaubende Ausblick auf den See und die umliegenden Berge machte unseren Aufenthalt unvergesslich. Die Terrasse bot den perfekten Ort, um den Sonnenuntergang mit einem Glas Wein zu genießen. Die Nähe zu charmanten Dörfern und die Möglichkeit, direkt am Ufer des Sees zu flanieren, machten die Lage ideal. Ein perfekter Ort für einen erholsamen Urlaub am Lago Maggiore.
