Bicycle tours through the Kühlung, at the seaside or to the Doberan Minster, a ride on the historic Bäderbahn Molli, surfing and canoeing in Rerik, golfing in Wittenbeck. Everything is in the immediate vicinity.
A trip to Rostock, Wismar or Warnemünde is fun even on less pleasant days.
Holiday destination
Wichmannsdorf is situated on the southern slope of the Kühlung, an ice-age terminal moraine. Kühlungsborn- which is a seaside Resort - is located on ist edge. Wichmannsdorf is a pure residential area with detached houses and holiday homes. Wichmannsdorf Castle, built in 1909 and 1911 as the widow's residence of the wife of the District Administrator of Oertzen, was renovated in 2003 and now shines in its restored splendour.
The nearby seaside resort of Kühlungsborn invites you to enjoy wonderful cycling tours, sailing and beach holidays.
As Kühlungsborn has a long history as a seaside resort which started beginning of the 19th century the atmosphere is still there. Many good Restaurants offer a wide selection for different tastes.
The extraordinary long beach is well prepared every morning. You will find quiet zones as well as a lot for young Children.
During the complete summer time two open air areas offer free entertainment in the evening.
Several bars at the beach are open in the evening. With a nice drink you an enjoy some of the best sundowns.

Liebe Frau Schumann,
Ihr "Haus am See" ist ein wunderbarer Ort die Seele baumeln zu lassen. Mit unseren großen Kindern (20,18, 15 Jahre) haben wir hier eine sehr harmonische Woche verbracht. Das Haus mit seiner geschmackvollen Einrichtung, dem phantastischen Garten mit Pool und Sauna und die natürliche Lage am See haben hierzu maßgeblich beigetragen. Plätze für Gemeinsamkeit, aber auch Rückzugsorte um mal für sich zu sein, stehen genügend zur Verfügung. Wir kommen gerne wieder und können das "Haus am See" sehr empfehlen.

Neben der stylischen Einrichtung waren auch alle praktischen Dinge in diesem schönen Ferienhaus sehr gut durchdacht. Wir waren 6 Personen und ein Kind, trotzdem viel Platz und Bewegungsfreiheit für jeden. Der Komfort war perfekt. Etwas beschwerlich war die Wendeltreppe zum Obergeschoß mit dem Kleinkind zu bewältigen. Die Küche war sehr gut ausgestattet, genauso wie die 2 großen Badezimmer.Der Ort ist ruhig gelegen, was der Erholung sehr gut tut. Die Außensauna konnten wir aufgrund der hohen Temperaturen in diesem Sommer nicht nutzen, aber im Herbst oder Winter ist das bestimmt sehr angenehm.
Wir werden dieses Haus auf jeden Fall wieder buchen und können es nur empfehlen.

Liebe Frau Mann,
ich habe mich noch gar nicht für die tolle Bewertung bedankt. Ja mit der Wendeltreppe, dass ist so ein Problem, das nicht einfach lösbar ist, sondern nur mit einem intensiven Umbau verbunden. Aber vielleicht bekommen wir das in den nächsten Jahren noch geregelt. Ansonsten freut es uns, dass es Ihnen gefallen hat und wir bedanken uns, dass Sie so nette Gäste waren.
