Holiday destination
Bad Schandau and the fortress town of Königstein are both 3 km away. Prossen lies at the foot of the Lilienstein, the centre of Saxon Switzerland. The Elberadweg runs through the village and there is a pier for the Saxon steamship. From here you can take the old paddle wheel steamers up and down the Elbe. An experience with the world's oldest paddle steamer fleet. Some tips in Bad Schandau for your holiday: visit the Tuscan thermal baths, the national park centre, the historic elevator to the lynx enclosure or a ride on the Kirnitzschtalbahn to the Lichtenhain waterfall. From there a circular hike to the cowshed. Or on the Malerweg via the Winterberg. Visit of the rock stage Rathen.

Den Urlaub auf dem Hof von Familie Witzigmann haben wir sehr genossen. Nettere Vermieter kann man sich kaum vorstellen ❤️ Eine sehr angenehme Familie und total unkompliziert. Der Garten ist wunderschön und gut gepflegt, inkl. Grillstelle. Vom großen Balkon hat man eine tolle Aussicht. Hengnau ist zwar ein verschlafenes Kaff, es gibt dort keinen Laden oder Bäcker, aber der Brötchenservice (zu fairen Preisen) macht das allemal wett. Und Wasserburg ist nur 5 Min. mit dem Fahrrad entfernt (OK, zurück und bergauf vielleicht 10 Min.)
Fazit: Ein Ort an dem wir gerne wieder Urlaub machen ?
