The historical sheep farm of the association Schäferhof Neuenkirchen is located approx. 800m away. During the season you can watch the herding in of over 500 heather sheep around 18:00 o'clock. You have the opportunity to ask the shepherd for more detailed information about the old breed or to buy one or two specialities in the small farm shop.
In the summer you can swim in pure moor waters in the "Stichter See".
In the nearby area you will find attractions such as the Heidepark, Vogelpark, Serengetipark, the Snow-Dome and the Designer Outlet Soltau.
Holiday destination
The holiday home is located in a cul-de-sac with no through traffic directly on the edge of the forest in a housing development with other similar wooden houses. It is the ideal starting point for great hikes or bike tours through the enchanting heath and moor landscape.
Getting there
Take the A7 Hamburg/Hannover exit at Soltau or Schneverdingen, then continue for approx. 20 km along the country road towards Neuenkirchen (Schneverdingen, Rotenburg/W.).
Coming from A27 Bremen/Dreieck Walsrode exit at Verden Ost, then head towards Visselhoevede, Neuenkirchen.
Take the A1 Bremen/Hamburg exit Bockel, then follow the B71 in the direction of Rotenburg/Wümme, continue towards Soltau and Neuenkirchen.
Or you take the Heidebahn Erixx from Hamburg/Hannover/Bremen, exit in Soltau and from there take the bus or a taxi (approx. 11 km).

Wir hatten 5 super entspannte Tage über Ostern in dem Ferienhaus. Schon bei dem herzlichen Empfang und der Führung durch Haus uns Garten wussten wir, hier kann man sich nur wohl fühlen.
Die Ausstattung im Haus, der toll gestaltete Garten mit vielen Sitzmöglichkeiten und die vielen kleinen Details zeigen, wieviel Arbeit und Liebe hier reingesteckt wird für einen perfekten Aufenthalt. Es hat an nichts gefehlt und wir haben uns über die Blumen , Weintrauben und Ostereier zum Naschen gefreut.
Unsere drei Hunde haben den eingezäunten Garten genossen und die direkte Nähe zum Wald war für Spaziergänge perfekt.
Trotz der ruhigen Lage sind Einkaufmöglichkeiten und Gastronomie schnell erreichbar.
Wir kommen gern wieder !!!

Waren jetzt zum 2. Mal im Haus Akelei. Wir wurden mal wieder von Katrin herzlich empfangen. Unsere Hunde lieben dieses Haus und den Garten genauso wie wir. War ein schöner Urlaub, gerne kommen wir wieder.
