Holiday destination
The village of Burgen is a wonderful starting point for hikes into the Baybach Valley, the Moselsteig or the Saar-Hunsrück-Steig. The varied region offers you many possibilities: Cycling tours along the Moselle or over the heights of the Hunsrück or Eifel, boat trips, castle visits or a detour to Koblenz are just a few examples.
Getting there
By car:
A61 exit Dieblich, B 49 direction Cochem (Burgen).
A48 exit Kobern-Gondorf, Moselle bridge Niederfell o. Alken, B 49 direction Cochem (Burgen).
By train:
From Koblenz to Kattenes or Karden railway station. We are happy to pick you up at the station.
By bus:
Line 301 (VRM) from Koblenz main station (bus platform K) to Burgen "Wingertsweg".

Die Ferienwohnung war ein Traum. Überall edles Holzparkett und schöne Fliesen. Auch die Ausstattung war für 2 Personen OK. Sauna und die Genusswerkstatt, in der man sich mit leckeren Dingen versorgen konnte , waren Super.
Der Vermieter gab uns tolle Tips zum Essen gehen und Fahrradfahren.

Das Doppelhaus Weitblick, in dem wir nach 2024 nun das zweite Mal verbracht haben, ist einfach perfekt für Ausflüge in die verschiedenen Ecken der Mosel zwischen Koblenz und Bernkastel-Kues. Selbst das ÖPNV-Angebot kann sich durchaus sehen lassen. Ansonsten ist es mit dem Auto (oder wer mitbringt) mit dem Fahrrad auch prima. Wir haben die ruhige Lage genossen, so dass der Tourismus, wie in anderen Orten hier nicht so spürbar war. Wir haben es jedenfalls genossen.
Den Vermietern auch diesmal herzlichen Dank für die Betreuung und das vertraute Miteinander und - unschlagbar - die Genusswerkstatt, die uns mehrere Einkäufe erspart hat, nicht zuletzt zu erwähnen die Ladestation direkt am Haus. Besser geht's nicht. Danke.
