Holiday destination
Cabanas, in the Ria Formosa Nature Reserve, is a still functioning fishing village where fishermen go out to sea every day. In 300 m small shuttle boats for €1.50 there/back to the offshore island with the 12 km long sandy guarded beaches. Supermarket, market, restaurants, cafes, post office, bank and bus are within walking distance. Bicycle and car rental on site. Car is not needed. It is 2 km to the train station.
Many interesting excursions, Spain 25km, Seville 150km highway and Tavira, named Venice of the Algarve, 7km. Hiking, orange groves, wine, salt flats and bird watching.
Getting there
Faro Airport, 35 km, taxi 30 min. booked with us 50 € or bus and train 12 €. Car parking in the streets close by.

Eigentlich hatten wir für drei Monate gemietet. Am liebsten wären wir sofort wieder geflüchtet, aber man muss ja erst mal eine andere Unterkunft finden. Feuchtigkeit, ein Geruch, der auch nach dem Lüften nicht verschwindet. Vieles alt und kaputt. Der Garten verwildert. Bäume so hoch, das kaum Licht rein kommt. Absolut nicht zu empfehlen. So was haben wir noch nie erlebt

Katja war nie Gast bei uns. Leider überprüft das niemand hier auf dieser Plattform. Unser gepflegter subtropische Garten bieten zu allen Jahreszeiten blühende Pflanzen. Die Platane an der Terrasse ist jedes Jahr ab November ohne Äste, damit sie im Sommer wieder ein natürlicher Schattenspender wird. In unsere 20 m hohen Palmen klettert jedes Jahr ein Spezialist, der die vertrockneten Palmwedel absägt. Jeden Monat entsorgen wir mehrere Kubikmeter Grünschnitt. Alle Gäste loben die künstlerische Gestaltung des Hauses mit den antiken Fliesen, die Rundbogen Fenster und Türen, den Marmor Fussboden, die hübsche Bettwäsche und die komplett ausgestattete große Küche. Leider wird diese nicht zutreffende negative Bewertung nicht entfernt.

Wir haben zwei sehr schöne Urlaubswochen im Ferienhaus Aloe verbracht. Die Ausstattung entsprach den Bildern, die Küche war gut ausgestattet mit ausreichend Geschirr. Sehr gut gefallen hat uns die Terrasse mit den schönen Bäumen und blühenden Pflanzen. Ob Restaurants, Supermarkt, Strandpromenade, alles waren sehr kurze Wege und fußläufig bestens zu erreichen. Zum schönen Strand war es eine kurze Bootsfahrt, war einfach mal was anderes und hat uns gut gefallen.
Wir empfehlen dieses Ferienhaus gerne weiter.
