Our house is the ideal starting point for activities in Thuringia: Oberhof, Meiningen, Erfurt, Weimar, Eisenach as well as western Rhoen can be reached well.
You can go hiking in summer and wintertime.

Holiday destination
The house is situated in a charming scenic area, in a quite, sunny position in the Rennsteig region and near the winter sports resort Oberhof with the "Rennsteiggarten" and water park.
It is the ideal starting point for a visit of the cultural sites of Thuringia, like Meiningen, Weimar, Eisenach and others.
About 150 km marked trails invite you to relax in the Thuringia uplands. In the wintertime the Alpine athletes and also the cross-country skiing enthusiasts have many opportunities for ski touring directly in the Haseltal and the nearby winter sports resort Oberhof.
Motorcycle and bike fans appreciate the Thuringia mountains as well as hikers who are looking for peace and quit.

Arriving from west:
-free-way A7 or A5 until Kirchheimer Dreieck
-A71 until exit Friedewald...rural road towards Philippstal and afterwards in the direction of Bad Salzungen...towards Meiningen until Niederschmalkalden...in the direction Schmalkalden...towards Suhl or Zella-Mehlis to Viernau
Arriving from east:
-A4 until Kreuz (cross) Erfurt
-A71 until exit Oberhof...rural road through Zella-Mehlis in the direction of Meiningen until local entry Benshausen... at the traffic circle first exit towards Viernau

Wir haben im Romantikhäusel übernachtet – sehr, sehr niedlich, mit viel Liebe zum Detail dekoriert � Wir haben uns sofort wie zu Hause gefühlt und können das Gästehaus definitiv empfehlen � Wir wurden herzlich mit Stollen und Keksen empfangen � Selbst nach ein paar Tagen wurden wir gefragt, ob alles in Ordnung sei � Wir haben auch den Wellnessbereich gebucht, der ebenso wunderbar dekoriert war wie unser Apartment. Ein Traum � Leider haben wir vergessen, im Gästebuch zu schreiben � daher freuen wir uns, unseren Eintrag hier zu hinterlassen �
