Holiday destination

Kerames is a traditional, historical village with about 150 inhabitants. All streets of the village lead to the main square of Kerames village. Here you can have a coffee in peace and admire the waterfalls or fountains. In the village there is a "corner store" and restaurants. Around the village there are beautiful and clean beaches, such as Preveli, Triopetra or Ligres. Hiking trails offer many possibilities to explore the wonderful area with its special flora and fauna also on foot. The small town of Spili with various shopping facilities, pharmacy, taverns, cafes, monastery worth seeing and historic Venetian fountain is only 14 kilometers away. The pretty and worth seeing harbor town of Rethymnon in the north of the island is 45 kilometers away and is certainly worth a day trip. The traditional town is a witness of a long history, which goes back to 2000 - 2600 BC. In this period the ancient city of Kionia was built. After the decline of the Minoan rule and their cities, of which Kionia was one, and after many pirate raids, the city moved higher up the hills. The ruins of the ancient city can be found on a hill above the beach of Pyrgos.

Getting there

You can reach Crete from Germany, but also Switzerland or Austria comfortably from many airports. The nearest airport with 99 km distance is in Chania, but also from Heraklion airport with 113 km distance it is easily accessible. From the airport we can arrange a rental car for you, so that you can reach the villa comfortably. Another option is to travel by ferry from Venice and Ancona.

Wir sind als 2 Familien mit 3 gut erzogenen Kindern (7-11 Jahre) im Juni angereist und haben den Urlaub mehr als genossen! Eine super Organisation im Vorfeld durch Familie Kirmaier und dann ein herzlicher, nächtlicher Empfang mit dem ersten Abendessen auf dem Tisch, einem gefüllten Kühlschrank und einer Ausstattung für das erste Frühstück! Wir haben die Insel und das Meer aber vor allem die voll ausgestattete Villa mit herrlichem Blick, tollem Pool+Aussenterrasse und die Gastfreundschaft von Nektaria & Mathaios mehr als genossen und haben daher für 2026 schon wieder gebucht! Für jeden, der eine ruhige Auszeit sucht mehr als zu empfehlen! der kurze Abstieg vom Haus zum Meer, ist in wenigen Minuten zu Fuß zu bewältigen und für entdeckungsfreudige Kinder Spaß pur ist!
