Our town of Großkirchheim boasts a reasonably priced ski lift for children and beginners that's open in the winter from Christmas. In summer, Großkirchheim features a leisure facility with a natural bathing pond, a climbing tower, a tennis court, a football pitch, a playground with a cosy café next to it, a riding stable, a shooting arena and much, much more.
There's also a convenience store in the town.
Head to the neighbouring town of Heiligenblut am Großglockner in winter to find an excellent ski domain with 55 kilometres of pistes, or go there in summer to enjoy the Großglockner High Alpine Road with its many attractions, including the newly built Steinbockhaus (the 'House of the Ibex' centre).
Of course, guided hikes with National Park rangers can also be arranged at the tourist office. Relevant brochures are available in the chalet.
In addition, RESI, your digital holiday companion, can furnish you with personalised information, offers and tips – all perfectly customised to the specific dates of your stay.
Holiday destination
Our newly built luxury chalet is located at around 1,500 m above sea level in the municipality of Großkirchheim, nestled in one of the largest nature reserves in Central Europe.
Located away from the large streams of tourists you see elsewhere, the chalet's situation makes it an ideal base for discovering the surrounding landscape and enjoying various sporting activities. The Hohe Tauern National Park and the Heiligenblut ski domain are just waiting to be explored.

Please note that our chalet is located at 1,500 m above sea level. High Alpine weather conditions often prevail here and the paved road to the chalet has to be cleared. The clearing service is generally always on duty when it snows, but there is a chance that you will have to drive on freshly snow-covered roads. For your own safety, we recommend bringing snow chains with you and using them if necessary.
Host informationWe are Reinhard & Petra Lesacher, and we look forward to welcoming you to our newly built chalet. Come here to enjoy the breathtaking mountains, simply switch off from everyday life and relax at around 1,500 m above sea level.
