The main attraction of Porto Santo is the approx. 9 km long fine sandy golden beach on the southwest side of the island. It has healing properties and is also used by hotels and SPAs for therapeutic purposes. The climate is mild and warm all year round. There is always a little breeze, so it never gets hot. Here you are at the same altitude as Casablanca and the sun is always pleasantly warm. So you can still swim in the warm Atlantic on the wide beaches in November!

Crystal clear water and pleasant water temperature are ideal for diving. Right next to the island there are spectacular underwater worlds and a large shipwreck at about 30 m depth.
The detached house is idyllically situated on the outskirts of Vila Baleira. You have a wide view over the fields and the sea. It is only a few minutes to the beaches. You can also make beautiful hiking or cycling tours. Larger walks on the island are well signposted and lead you to spectacular viewpoints. A tennis centre, as well as the golf course within sight, complement the sporting activities on offer. For the youngest there are horse rides, carriage rides and boat trips off the beach to watch dolphins.
Almost all major airlines fly to Funchal/Madeira several times a week. From there with Binter Canarias in 20 minutes to Porto Santo. Or by ferry in 2 hours from Funchal harbour to Porto Santo.
It is also worth looking for connections via Porto or Lisbon. Ryanair, Easyjet and Wizz fly daily to Funchal.
It takes about 10 minutes to get to the airport by taxi. These currently cost about 10 euros.
