Lake Millstätter See is a lake north of the Drau valley near Spittal in Carinthia (Austria).
It is situated at an altitude of 588 meters, is 11.5 kilometers long and up to 1.8 kilometers wide, and after Lake Wörthersee, it is Carinthia's second-largest, deepest at 141 meters, and most water-rich lake with 1204.5 million cubic meters of water.
Larger settlements on the lake are found exclusively on the northern shore, including Seeboden, Millstatt, and Döbriach as the three largest towns.
