Other recreational opportunities
Motorcycling, nature excursions, boat trips to the bays of the Algarve coast. There are spa salons, gyms, diving schools and many golf courses.
Holiday destination
Carvoeiro is the perfect starting point to explore the coast of Algarve. Hikes along the coast and the beach are possible in the direct vicinity of the holiday resort. The golf course Vale de Milho and other comfortable golf courses are recommended.
The beaches are very diversified. There are some tranquil bays as well as long sandy beaches. There is also lots to see and do for children: water parks, zoos, riding stables.
Excursions might take you to Sagres, Europe's South-westernmost town, historical places such as Silves or the Monchique Mountains 900 m above sea-level. Day trips to Lisbon (approx. 2.5 hours ride) or Seville (approx. 2 hours) are possible, too. Large shopping centres and doctors are easy to reach as well.
Getting there
Carvoeiro is approx. 55 to 60 km from Faro Airport. You can take a rental car and go towards Portimao via the motorway. Take the exit to Lagoa.
Continue to Carvoeiro at the roundabout in Lagoa. Cross Carvoeiro until you reach Vale de Milho residential area. Turn left and you reach Vale de Milho 68, Casa Esperanca.
It takes you about 2.5 to three hours to reach Carvoeiro from Lisbon Airport, and 2 hours from Seville in Spain.
If you arrive from Germany by car, you can take the car train to Norbonne. From there, it is a wonderful tour if you take the Spanish coastal road until you reach Portugal.
