Holiday destination
The picturesque Silbersee lake is 1.2 km away and invites you to go for a swim. Freudenstadt with Germany's largest market place is 12 km away, Alpirsbach is about 6 km away.
The Black Forest Middle-North Nature Park offers a perfect network of hiking trails, bicycle tours and Nordic walking tours (e.g. Schenkenzell 9km away) as well as mountain biking, geo-caching, alpine skiing and cross-country skiing in and around the village. Throughout the region there are many restaurants and guesthouses where you can enjoy an excellent meal.
Hiking trails start directly in front of the house. There are numerous leisure activities in the area.
Getting there
A5 Karlsruhe Basel Autobahn - exit Offenburg - B33 towards Villingen-Schwenningen - Hausach - B294 to Schiltach. Drive towards Alpirsbach until Schenkenzell.
In the town centre turn left towards Reinerzau. Follow the valley road through various parts of the village straight ahead until you reach the junction for the "Kleine Kinzig" reservoir (approx. 9 km from Schenkenzell). Turn left here and then immediately right again up the narrow road.
A second way from the east is via the "Bodenseeautobahn" Stuttgart - Singen A81, where you can reach the house from the Freudenstadt exit towards Freudenstadt and via Schömberg towards Reinerzau to the "Kleine Kinzig" - reservoir junction.
