Cancellation:
The tenant is entitled to withdraw from the contract before the start of the rental period. In the event of such a withdrawal, the landlord will claim compensation as follows:
Cancellation 41 to 33 days before the start of the rental period 30% of the rental price
Cancellation 32 to 22 days before the start of the rental period 50% of the rental price
Cancellation 21 to 11 days before the start of the rental period 70% of the rental price
Cancellation 10 days before the start of the rental period up to the start of the rental period 90% of the rental price
The tenant has the right to appoint a substitute tenant who takes over the holiday home in full. No cancellation fees will be charged then.

The town of Les Vans is located in front of the Serre de Barre ridge in the Chassezac valley. A lively tourist center at the foot of the Cevennes with old town alleys, markets, shops, bars, and restaurants. Here begins the Chassezac's breakthrough through the limestone plateau – a paradise for canoeists and hikers looking for quiet swimming spots.
Ardeche and Cevennes –
These are the Mediterranean hillscapes and limestone plateaus west of the Rhône – opposite the Provence. Here grow chestnuts, cypresses, and holm oaks, fragrant tufts of herbs like thyme, rosemary, and lavender in the garrigue. This is the evergreen vegetation of the Mediterranean area, the plant world of the maquis.
The fantastic gorges of the rivers Ardèche, Beaume, and Chassezac run through the limestone plateaus. The center of the bustling canoe and camping tourism here is the famous canyon of the Ardèche. A paradise for motorcycle enthusiasts are the numerous exit possibilities into the Cevennes. Cycling enthusiasts can plan the most beautiful tours directly from the house.
Getting there
Directions coming from Lyon:
Take the Montelimar Nord motorway exit  le Teil  Aubenas  towards Ales until Lablachere, then  Les Vans
Alternatively, a more scenic route:
Take the Loriol motorway exit  towards Privas  Aubenas  towards Ales …..
From Les Vans, take the D 901 towards Villfort, after the end of the town (Citroen dealer on the left),
turn left off the main road after the Le Pradal campsite. Montee du Pradal.
A steep, narrow road that leads directly into Chemin des Claparedes de Barret.
The entrance is at the first mailbox on the right.

Seit zwanzig Jahren hält uns die Gegend um Les Vans und den Chassezac gefangen - nachdem unser bisheriges Traum-Domizil verkauft wurde, haben wir uns auf die Suche nach einer Alternative gemacht, was ziemlich schwierig war. Aber wir haben sie gefunden: Le Barret! Ein Häuschen mit viel Platz und vor Allem Blick auf den Chassezac, liebevoll und praktisch eingerichten (es fehlt nix!!!), mit großartigem gepflegten Terrain und einer ganz neuen Note: Blick auf den Sonnenaufgang, der sogar Spätaufsteher aus dem Bett lockt. Dazu Vermieter, die wir hoffentlich bald persönlich kennenlernen und die uns ganz unkompliziert komplizierte Dinge einfach machten.
