Holiday destination
The Gerlitzen is a fantastic destination for hiking, skiing, and relaxation, offering a wide range of activities in summer and winter – such as high rope climbing, mini golf, archery, mountain biking and paragliding, etc.
Nearby: Swimming in Lake Ossiach or Lake Faak, strolls through Villach’s charming old town and quick cross-border trips to Italy (Tarvisio) or Slovenia (Kranjska Gora). Even day trips to the Adriatic coast—Trieste, Lignano, or Grado—are easily doable in around 2½ hours.
Getting there
Exit the A10 motorway at Villach-Ossiacher See. At the roundabout, take the third exit towards Treffen. After the speed camera in the village, turn right onto Gerlitzenstraße and follow the road uphill to the toll station. There, collect a free ticket and continue to Kanzelhöhe. At the lift station, follow the road in the opposite direction of the upcoming cable car until the very end. “Haus Edelweiss” is on the left. Parking is located slightly downhill to the right.

Der Gastgeber ist sehr bemüht und kommuniziert sehr klar und ausführlich. Meine Hündin und ich haben uns von der ersten Sekunde an sehr wohl gefühlt und wir kommen sicher wieder! Die herrliche Bergluft und das traumhafte Panorama der Karawanken laden zum genießen, spazieren und wandern ein. Die Lage ist ideal für Naturliebhaber, die etwas Abstand vom Alltag und ihre Ruhe haben wollen. Vielen Dank und bis bald.

Die Wohnung liegt idyllisch am Berg mit einem atemberaubenden Panoramablick und Paraglidern direkt vor dem Balkon inklusive! Innen liebevoll und gemütlich eingerichtet, besonders die Kuhbilder passen perfekt zum alpinen Flair. Ab Ankunft waren wir sofort tiefen entspannt und haben und rundum wohl gefühlt. Die Küche war top ausgestattet, es hat wirklich an nichts gefehlt. Wir kommen definitiv wieder! PS: Das WC mit automatischer Po-Reinigung? Ein überraschend positives Erlebnis!
