The valley is full of historical sites, such as the ancient silver mines of Tellure, the medieval towns of Ribeauvillé and Colmar and the castles of Ortenbourg and Haut Koenigsbourg. In winter the nearby resorts of Lac Blanc and Schlucht offer skiing, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, sledging.
