Holiday destination
Unterammergau lies nestled in the Ammertal valley, approx. 24 km from Garmisch-Partenkirchen and only 3 km from the world-famous Passion play location Oberammergau. The municipality offers various leisure activities in both summer and winter. Additional leisure activities and facilities are a short ride away.
Unterammergau has a train station and trains to Munich depart nearly every hour. The bus stop is merely a few metres from the train station.
Getting there
If you travel by car via Munich, take the A95 München - Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Shortly after the autobahn ends in Oberau, turn right follow the signposting to Oberammergau. In Oberammergau, follow the bypass road and continue towards Unterammergau.
In Unterammergau, turn right after passing the crossing, then make a sharp turn onto the 2nd street on the left. Your destination is house no. 16 on the right.
If you travel by train, there's a direct connection from Munich via Murnau to Unterammergau; trains depart nearly every hour. As you leave the train station, walk towards the fountain. From there, keep to the right of the farmhouse you'll see on the opposite side of the road and you've arrived at your destination, the "Weiherweg".

Wir waren jetzt das zweite mal bei Frau Siegmund.Es ist einfach nur schön dort ,diese Ruhe ,die Berge und die ganze Umgebung drumherum .Die Wohnung einfach top, sehr sauber,alles was man braucht, und der super schöne Garten .Und natürlich nicht zu vergessen, Frau Siegmund sehr herzlich, lieb und immer Zeit für ein nettes Gespräch .Mein kleiner Hund hat sich bei ihnen auch sehr wohl gefühlt .Leider waren es nur ein paar Tage ,die sehr schnell vorbei gingen,wir vermissen jetzt schon die Ruhe und diese super schöne Gegend. Aber wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder,wir wünschen Ihnen eine schöne Zeit und bleiben Sie gesund .Lg Familie Nicklis
