Other recreational opportunities
With the guest card, you can travel free of charge on the entire RVO bus network and on trains within the region. Bad Reichenhall, Salzburg, the Rupertiwinkel region, and even Lake Chiemsee are easily accessible – without traffic jams or the hassle of finding parking. A few exceptions include the Kehlstein line, the ALMErlebnisBUS (Alpine Adventure Bus), the lines to Salzburg, and the bus on the Rossfeld Panorama Road toll road. For these routes, you will need to purchase separate tickets or pay a surcharge. Important note: Upon request, you must present official photo identification to ticket inspectors in connection with your guest card.
Holiday destination
A flight of steps leads directly to a footpath that invites you to explore the area and enjoy various activities and excursions. From there, you'll find a fitness trail, the Aschauerweiher natural swimming pool (which, in winter, serves as a cross-country skiing center), and a summer ski jump. You can also embark on numerous hikes directly from your holiday accommodation. Hike to the Kneifelspitze peak, visit the salt mine, or explore the House of the Mountains.
A visit to Königssee lake is also worthwhile, as is a pedal boat ride on Hintersee lake near Ramsau, perhaps followed by a stroll through the enchanting Zauberwald forest. A bus trip to the Kehlsteinhaus (Eagle's Nest) and a visit to the Documentation Center at Obersalzberg are also highly recommended. A beer in a shady beer garden is the perfect way to round off a wonderful day of vacation.

Liebe Frau Fendt,
wir hatten eine wunderschöne Woche bei Ihnen in Berchtesgaden. Die Wohnung ist spitze. Der Ausblick ist traumhaft. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und konnten uns super erholen.
