A bicycle ride takes you to the most beautiful destinations and there are many enjoyable walks to experience nature at its best. A popular outdoor swimming pool is right next door. Cross-country skiers will find excellent cross-country ski runs in the immediate vicinity an nearby Holzhau.
Holiday destination
The holdiday house is situated at the edge of Oederan, half way between Dresden and Chemnitz. "Klein- Erzgebirge Oederan" features the oldest miniature city in Germany. The buildings are put in their original surrounding, set in a beautiful garden. Apart from that, there are many attractive and popular sights close by: e.g. "Schloss Augustusburg", "Schloss Lichtenwalde", Seiffen and its famous Toy Land. Restaurants and Cafés are within walking distance and they will make you feel at home. You may enjoy countless interesting excursions. Dresden is only a 40 min. drive away with its Frauenkirche, its art treasures among them the "Historical Green Vault".
Getting there
Driving on motorway A 4, take exit "Frankenberg" and follow road signs to "Oberschöna". After 10 km you will reach crossroads at restaurant "Räuberschänke", turn right towards "Oederan". Watch out for place name sign "Oederan". Turn right directly behind the sign. The house is on your left (150 m).

Das Ferienhaus ist sehr gemütlich eingerichtet und ruhig am Ortsrand von Oederan gelegen. Die Ausstattung ist umfangreich, sodass es uns an nichts gefehlt hat, und es gibt eine liebevoll gestaltete und bepflanzte Terasse zum entspannten Sitzen. Top sind auch das große und moderne Bad, sowie das unkomplizierte Parken.
Oederan ist schnell zu erreichen - z. B. verschiedene Geschäfte und Bäcker, wobei uns die Bäckerei Schneider in Eppendorf (kurze Autofahrt) mit den traditionellen Backwaren am meisten überzeugt hat.
Auch die kleine Handwerksstube namens "Schiebolds Holzstube" in Oederan selbst ist wegen vieler traditioneller, aber auch ausgefallener Stücke einen Besuch wert.
Last but not least: Danke an die netten und zuvorkommenden Gastgeber.
Wir kommen gerne wieder :)

Das Ferienhaus ist liebevoll und mit allem was man benötigt eingerichtet. Sehr sympathische Gastgeber, die uns viele gute Hinweise zu Ausflugszielen gaben. Eine wunderschöne Landschaft mit beeindruckender Kulisse, was will man mehr.
