Other recreational opportunities
Horse-riding on the beach (for experienced riders) is possible at the local riding schools. There is a land-yachting centre in the next village (Bretteville) which offers lessons. The area is excellent for Kite-boarding.
Holiday destination
We are in e village of Glatigny, the local beach and dunes are uncrowned and undeveloped, the area is a designated nature reserve, and even in summer there are very few people. The sandy beach is safe for swimming, and dogs can run freely. You may even see trotting horses training on the beach.
Getting there
From La Haye du Puits, take the D903 Portbail road at the intermarche roundabout. After 1km turn left onto the D67 to Glatigny. When you arrive at the crossroads after you see the Glatigny village sign take the road opposite which leads to the sea. The house is 300m from the crossroads on the left hand side with the pine trees in the garden after La Trottierie - please park under the trees.

Das Haus bietet alles was einen entspannten Familienurlaub mit Hund ausmacht. Es ist funktional eingerichtet und bietet die gerade für Teenager wichtigen Voraussetzungen wie WLAN und Fernseher.
Die Umgebung ist Ideal zum Radfahren und Geocachen. Der 3km entfernte Strand ist gut per Rad oder ggf. auch mit dem Auto zu erreichen. Teilweise leider wetterbedingt aber auch bei bestem Strandwetter war dieser nie überfüllt und der Hund konnte jederzeit frei laufen.

Gemütliches, nettes Cottage mit sicher eingezäuntem Grund, ruhig in einem kleinen Ort gelegen. Entfernung zum Strand 3 km. In der Küche war alles vorhanden. Generell ist die Ausstattung gut. Den Hund konnte man im Mai an den fast menschenleeren Stränden frei laufen lassen. Einschränkung: fehlende verschließbare Mülltonne wegen der Tiere. Wir würden diesen Urlaub zu dieser Jahreszeit wieder machen und können das Cottage auf jeden Fall empfehlen.
