Idyllic hiking trails start directly from the cabin and lead to the summit of Himingen. In the winter season, groomed cross-country ski trails await you in the immediate vicinity. You can also discover the nearby lake with its bathing jetty, visit the impressive stave church in Heddal or take a trip to the famous Gaustatoppen. The town of Notodden is only a good 20 minutes away, offering the perfect combination of unique nature experiences and urban comforts.
Getting there
You will always need to travel by car or hire car.
Larvik ferry port: max. 2 hours
Kristiansand ferry port: max. 3.5–4 hours
Oslo Airport: max. 2.5–3 hours
Stavanger Airport: 5–6 hours (very scenic route, road 450, closed in winter)
The cabin is located on a private toll road; tolls are paid at the exit. If you provide us with your licence plate number (including nationality) in advance, we can register you as a guest. In this case, the toll is free of charge for you.

The location of the cabin is perfect, surrounded by forest. Amazing view from the master bedroom when we wake up, as well as when just sitting in the living room, eating at the dining table or preparing meal in the kitchen. Specially nice to take a sauna after a winter day. Everything is cozy, nice and homey design and fully equipped. Communication with the hosts was perfect. Idyllic stay. We would like to return.

Wir haben eine ganze Woche in der traumhaften Hütte verbracht und sind sehr zufrieden. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.
Der Ausblick aus den Fenstern sah aus wie in einem Traum.
Wir werden den Urlaub auf jeden Fall in guter Erinnerung behalten.
PS: Wir haben bereits schon Anfragen zum Haus erhalten.
