Lake Mochow is picturesquely situated amidst the Lower Lusatian forest and lake district, at the transition between the Lieberose Heath and the Spreewald. The lake's special charm stems from its gently curving shoreline, offering numerous bathing coves for both people and dogs. The Otter Trail allows for a leisurely three-hour walk around the lake. On the eastern shore near Lamsfeld, there is a popular family campsite with boat rentals, a campsite restaurant, and a public bathing beach.
The lake is also a paradise for anglers, as it is free from disruptive swimming and motorboats.
