Holiday destination
The idyllic climactic spa town of Wüstensachsen is located at the foot of the Wasserkuppe in a valley in the mist of the Rhön biosphere reserve.
You can explore the surrounding mountains on foot, as well as the "long Rhön", the Hochrhön with its expanses and beautiful free high paths, as well as the "Flyer's Mountain", the Wasserkuppe.
Supermarket and bakery are only five minutes away on foot, as well as the swimming pool with paddling pond and mini golf.
Getting there
By car: motorway exit Fulda Mitte, toward Dipperz/Hilders. Turn right in Batten into the Ulstertal, toward Ehrenberg. In Wüstensachsen, turn left toward the church, pass the church on the right and then turn right into the Rhönstrasse.
By train: Fulda train station, then further by bus. Bus stop right in front of the train station.

Liebe Frau Hohmann,
wie wunderbar - da kamen wir nach fast drei Jahren wieder in das freundlich-charmante Schindelhaus mit dem Frühlingsgarten und fühlten uns gleich wieder wie zu Hause angekommen. Das Auto blieb stehen und neue Wege direkt ab Gartentor haben sich aufgetan. Alles war allerbestens "wie früher" und das Wetter als Geschenk on top.
Danke für dieses wunderbare Feriendomizil, nicht weit weg von der Rhein-Main-Hektik, aber dennoch in einer ganz anderen Welt. Wir kommen sehr sehr gerne wieder.
