The Bergkristallhütte is located at the foot of the Saualm, from where you can embark on ski tours and snowshoe hikes. The nearby Klippitztörl ski resort is just right for beginners and advanced skiers alike. Slopes ranging from easy to difficult make skiing fun for everyone.
In the summer, you can start hikes in the Zirbitzkogel and Saualm area directly from the hut without using a car. The routes are well marked and manageable for everyone. Cozy, quaint serviced alpine huts invite you to stop by for refreshment and relaxation.
If the weather takes a break, head to Klagenfurt, Graz, or Vienna for shopping. For the active, a summer toboggan run, climbing garden, high ropes course, quad bike track, etc., are available nearby.

Wir haben unseren Urlaub in der Geierkogelhütte verbracht. Es ist eine sehr schön eingerichtete, saubere und gepflegte Hütte , es hat an nichts gefehlt. Die ganze Umgebung ist ruhig und der Ausblick ist einfach mega schön . Es gibt zwei Sauna und ein Whirlpool , wo man gut entspannen kann. Willi der Vermieter ist sehr bemüht seinen Gästen einen schönen Urlaub zu ermöglichen. Hunde sind auch erlaubt , das fanden wir sehr gut . Wir werden auf alle Fälle wieder Urlaub bei Willi machen.
