Holiday destination
Fantastic location in first line over the cliffs on the Atlantic coast and the rock formations of Algar Seco. Only 10 minutes walk to the beach and village center. Carvoeiro was a small fishing village that has retained its scenic beauty, despite recent development. The place is extremely popular with families. It has a few beaches, the main beach has a sandy cove where jet skiing and water sports equipment as well as umbrellas and sun beds can be hired. Short boat trips to nearby caves and secluded beaches can be taken. The second beach, Paraiso is small, but very suitable for snorkeling. Praia do Centianes is another beach in walking distance.
Carvoeiro village has an abundance of restaurants for every taste and budget, as well as bars, cafes, banks, shops, pharmacy, post office, medical center and public transport. Two water parks are within easy driving distance and offer fun for the whole family. Zoomarine, where you can swim with dolphins, is a 20-minute drive away.
Many golf courses are nearby, including Gramacho, Vale de Pinta and Vale de Milho.
Carvoeiro Clube de Tenis has numerous tennis courts and gym. Two diving schools are near Carvoeiro.
From the Marina in Praia da Rocha you can take boat trips on the open sea to watch the dolphins. Portimão is the center for all types of boat trips to deserted beaches and panomaric caves.

Unsere Anreise war etwas beschwerlich und wir kamen ungeplant erst in der Nacht an.
Dieter hat uns telefonisch zur späten Stunde geduldig den Weg zum Haus erklärt.
Zu unserer Überraschung fanden wir frisches Obst, gekühlte Getränke und einen Snack vor und konnten uns vom Reisestress etwas erholen.
Am nächsten Morgen sahen wir dann, dass wir in einer traumhaften Küstenlandschaft hoch über dem Atlantik wohnen.
Vom Garten aus ging der Blick über den Küstenwanderweg und die Felsenlandschaft hinaus aufs Meer.
Im Haus fanden wir alle Annehmlichkeiten vor, die einen Urlaub zur Erholung werden lassen.
Dieter war während der gesamten Zeit bei Bedarf erreichbar und unterstützte uns mit Rat und Tat.
Fazit: Dieses Haus ist daher rundum eine Empfehlung.

Die Unterkunft liegt malerisch an den Meeresklippen des kleinen aber lebendigen Ortes Carvoeiro, in einem eher ruhigen Wohngebiet mit direktem Zugang zu einem Pfad, der entlang der Klippen fußläufigen Zugang zu zwei Stränden ermöglicht. Die Ausstattung der Wohnung lässt keine Wünsche offen und der Kontakt zum Gastgeber ist unkompliziert und sehr freundlich.
Insgesamt haben wir unseren Aufenthalt in der Villa Stawilli sehr genossen und sind mit einem weinenden Auge wieder abgereist. Für unseren nächsten Algarve Urlaub steht die Villa Stawilli auf jeden Fall wieder ganz oben auf unserer Liste!
