Gaienhofen lies on the Höri peninsula by Lake Constance: quiet, close to nature, appealing year-round. The Lake Constance Cycle Path runs through the village; public bathing spots are minutes away. Restaurants with regional Höri cuisine, fruit and wine growers are within walking distance. Boats sail from Gaienhofen to Stein am Rhein, Konstanz and Radolfzell. The Bodenseecard West (via visitor's tax) covers buses and trains in Konstanz district. Hermann Hesse's house is around the corner.

Getting there

By car: motorway towards Singen, exit Radolfzell, then via Moos, Iznang and Weiler to Gaienhofen. By train: to Radolfzell (12 km), then by bus to Gaienhofen. Buses and trains in the Konstanz district are free with the Bodenseecard West.

Wir hatten schöne vier Tage am Bodensee. Das kleine Appartment war schön, man könnte aber aus der Küche mehr machen. Mal modernisieren und die Ausstattung erweitern z.b. um einen Backofen.

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.Das Appartement hat alles was man braucht. Fußläufig ist alles wichtige erreichbar. Familie Eppstein ist sehr freundlich und wir werden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen.
