Wir kamen gegen 23:50 Uhr im Schloss an, nachdem wir am Flughafen Probleme mit dem Mietwagen hatten. Das Schloss war sehr kalt, und die Anleitung zum Einschalten der Heizung funktionierte nicht. Erst am nächsten Tag kam jemand, um die Heizung anzuschalten. Mein Schlafsofa war nicht bezogen, obwohl wir eindeutig zu dritt waren und drei Betten benötigten. Die Matratzen waren sehr durchgelegen, und die Bettwäsche roch muffig, da sie in einer Truhe lag.
Als ich die Gastgeberin darauf ansprach, antwortete sie: „Manchmal läuft es eben nicht so, wie man es sich wünscht!“, gefolgt von einer Entschuldigung. Ich vermiete selbst ein Haus und gebe mir größte Mühe, dass sich die Gäste wohlfühlen. Wir waren bei unserer Ankunft völlig erschöpft, und sie hatte sich überhaupt nicht auf unsere Ankunft vorbereitet.

Wir hatten eine wundervolle Zeit auf dem Schlossgelände. Das Haus ist komplett ausgestattet, und da auf dem Gelände kaum etwas los war, fühlten wir uns wie richtige Schlossbewohner. Das Haus ist etwas dunkel, aber dank des schönen Wetters konnten wir viel Zeit draußen verbringen und den herrlichen Garten genießen. In der Gegend gibt es viele mittelalterliche Dörfer.
