Holiday destination
Rettenberg is located next to the foot of the mountain Gruenten, at the height of 840m at the most southern part of Bavaria, the Allgaeu. With its threema breweries, it is, as the “most southern brewery-village of Germany”, home of many beer specialities.
Rettenberg has about 4800 inhabitants and accommodates medium-size companies, crafts enterprises and farms.
Here, routes across the Alps, lake Constance, and the castles of Ludwig II are all within a stone's throw.
Getting there
By rail to the mainline station at Kempten/Allgaeu, with direct connections to Immenstadt. We pick you up there. By car on Autobahn (motorway) A7 to Kempten/Allgäu, then on B19 to Immenstadt. From there to direction Fuessen-Rettenberg. By plane to the Allgäu Airport in Memmingen, Friedrichshafen, Munich, Stuttgart.

Wir haben hier wunderschöne Tage verbracht, auch wenn das Wetter nicht immer so gut war. Die Wohnung war für uns 3 Personen perfekt. Bei Buchung hatte ich Bedenken, da das Doppelbett im Wohnzimmer ist. Das Klappbett ist sehr hochwertig, genügend breit und bequem, tagsüber verschwindet es im Schrank. Die Ausstattung ist hochwertig, uns hat es an nichts gefehlt. Wir wurden von der Familie Weissinger sehr freundlich aufgenommen. Sie waren immer hilfsbereit und für ein nettes Gespräch oder guten Rat offen. Wir bedanken uns nochmals herzlich bei den Weissingers für diese wunderschönen Tage.

Wir haben uns in der Ferienwohnung sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Einrichtung war sehr bayerisch gemütlich. Die Küche hatte alles, was man braucht, vom Toaster über Wasserkocher, 2 Kochplatten, Mikrowelle bis zur Spülmaschine. Allerdings haben wir abends nie gekocht, sondern haben auswärts die regionale Küche genossen. Die Vermieter sind sehr nett und entgegenkommend. Eine kleine Sauna befindet sich im Gartenhaus, die man für zusätzliche 5 Euro pro Nutzung extra buchen kann. Sehr angenehm, nach einer langen Wanderung! Die Schrankbetten sind sehr hochwertig mit sehr festen guten Matratzen.
