Holiday destination
The world-famous castles Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau of king Ludwig II of Bavaria are nearby.
The fourth biggest lake in Bavaria, the Forggensee, is perfect for bathing or various water sports. There is also a number of smaller lakes in the vicinity of Rosshaupten.
The prettiest baroque church in Germany, the Wieskirche, and many other historico-cultural sights are also close-by.
Getting there
From Munich:
A96 exit Buchloe, continue on B12 towards Kaufbeuren, Marktoberdorf, Kempten and take exit Marktoberdorf/Füssen, and go on towards Füssen (B16). You reach Rosshaupten am Forggensee after approx. 20 km.
from Kempten/Ulm:
A7 Nesselwang/Füssen, then follow the signs to Seeg. You reach Rosshaupten am Forggensee after approx. 10 km.
from Austria/Italy:
Fern Pass towards North, continue to Reute to the tunnel Füssen, and turn towards Kaufbeuren. Left at the traffic lights towards Rosshaupten am Forggensee (B 16, 8km from Füssen).

Die Wohnung liegt im 1. Stock eines Hauses in ruhiger Ortsrandlage. Sie bietet viel Platz für alles, was man so dabei hat im Aktivurlaub. Schränke und Ablagen sind genug vorhanden. Sehr geräumig sind auch Flur, Küche, Essplatz und Wohnzimmer. Das Bad hat eine neue walk-in Dusche. Die beiden Schlafzimmer mit jeweils 2 Einzelbetten etwas kleiner, aber sehr bequem und ruhig für einen erholsamen Schlaf. Und am Ende sei noch der riesige Balkon in Südlage erwähnt. Eigener Parkplatz am Haus. 10 Minuten zu Fuß zum Bäcker und zum gut sortierten Lebensmittelladen im Dorf. Was will man mehr. Und die Vermieter im Erdgeschoss hatten uns nicht nur einen freundlichen Empfang bereitet, sondern uns auch Tipps für Touren und Aktivitäten in und um Füssen und seiner Bergwelt gegeben. Vielen Dank dafür.

Die Ferienwohnung war sehr schön gelegen mit Blick auf das Ammergebirge.
Frau Linder und ihr Mann sind sehr zuvorkommende Gastgeber.
Wir waren als Paar mit unserer Pudeldamne Lisa zu Gast. Die Wohnung ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet, es fehlt an nichts. Auch eine Waschmaschine ist vorhanden und kann jederzeit genutzt werden . Eine rundum durchdachte Ferienwohnung . Die Lage ist zentral, mit dem E-Bike ist man z.B. schnell in Füssen und bei den Königsschlössern. Auch die Therme und die Burgenwelt in Reutte sind sehr gut mit dem PKW zu erreichen. Das Buchen, die Buchungsbestätigung und die Bezahlung waren reibungslos. Bei Rückfragen kam die Antwort unverzüglich. Es war alles unkompliziert und sehr herzlich!
