Berchtesgadener Land is located in the very south-east of the Bavarian Alps and at a distance of only 20 km to Salzburg. Its most prominent landmark is Mount Watzmann (2,713 m above sea level). Here you will be spending your holidays in Germany’s only high Alpine national park. World-famous Lake Königssee and its peninsula of Saint Bartholomew are further landmarks of our holiday region with its breathtaking nature. Getting there
By car,From Munich
A8 motorway Munich-Salzburg: take exit Bad Reichenhall, follow main road B20 to Berchtesgaden, passing Bad Reichenhall and Bischofswiesen. From Berchtesgaden take road B305, direction Salzburg. In the small community of Unterau turn right and follow the main road B319 to Oberau. Pass the church, then turn left into Lärchecker Weg. Drive up this street for around 2 km, it leads through a wood, always follow the sign “Gästehaus Lärcheck”. Our guesthouse is the last one on the right hand side, on top of a beautiful high plateau, house number 42 (some navigation systems may only find their way up to nr. 10 – so you had better follow the signs).
