The nicest thing to do during the "darker" seasons is to take long walks on the large sandy beach, past the cliffs or through the harbour.

A spacious living and dining area with an open plan kitchen are at your disposal for enjoying quality time together
If the weather is bad, the comfortable lounge corner invites you to relax together and watch TV using the large flat screen TV (Vodafone Giga TV).
Also, one of the sofas can be converted into a double bed in just a few simple steps to accommodate parties of 5 or 6 people.
The large dining table, with ample seating for 6, can become the dining and gameplay central for the duration of your stay (a selection of board games is provided).
The open plan kitchen is fully equipped (with a ceramic hob, oven, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, coffee maker, kettle, toaster, egg cooker), making it so you don't have to rely on restaurants during your holiday.
Up a (relatively steep) staircase in the living room, you make your way to the spacious open bedroom on the top floor (known as "de Böhn" in the Low German dialect) with a double bed (180x200 cm) and the attached separate children's room with 2 single beds (90x200 cm) .
The apartment is also suitable for small children (there are banisters, and baby and children's chairs are available).
The apartment thus offers enough places to withdraw to so that everyone can find a quiet place to enjoy a book alone.
And if you keep your eyes peeled, you'll be able to see between the roofs the upper decks of the Baltic Sea ferries that pass by regularly.
Getting there
It's a five minute walk to the apartment from the train station (Hafen - Harbour), which trains from Hamburg Central Station arrive at every hour.

Wir hatten einen traumhaften Herbsturlaub in der Ferienwohnung De Böhm in Travemünde. Die Ferienwohnung ist sehr geräumig, gemütlich eingerichtet und gut ausgestattet. Wir haben uns vom ersten Moment heimisch gefühlt. Bei kühlem Herbstwetter war es besonders schön zu wissen, dass eine warme Sauna auf uns wartet. Auch die Lage hätte nicht besser sein können. In einer Minute ist man an der Promenade. Hinzukommt, dass sich Travemünde als perfekter Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge entpuppt hat. Zu Fuß, mit dem Rad oder ÖPNV kommt man auch ohne Auto gut z.B. zum Timmendorfer Strand, zum Hansa Park, nach Lübeck oder nach Dassow. Wir werden auf jeden Fall noch mal wiederkommen, da wir neugierig darauf geworden sind, die Gegend mal im Sommer zu erkunden.

es freut mich ausserordentlich von Ihrem tollen Urlaub in Travemünde und in unserer Ferienwohnung De Böhn zu hören. Sie schreiben es, Travemünde ist mehr als nur Sommerstrand; es bietet ganzjährig sehr viel Abwechslung.

Die Wohnung liegt sehr zentral und ist hervorragend ausgestattet. Das Bad mit einer kleinen Sauna ist ganz neu und das Wohnen auf 2 Etagen ist sehr gemütlich. Die Wohnung ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Der Kontakt mit Herrn Nagel und mit Frau Baysan vor Ort war sehr unkompliziert. Frau Baysan hat alle Fragen sehr schnell beantwortet, großes Lob. Der Parkplatz ist gut erreichbar.
Einziger Wermutstropfen ist, dass sich nachts anscheinend die Poser Szene in der Straße trifft und die Motoren aufheulen lässt. Vielleicht war es auch nur eine Ausnahme. Deswegen nur 4 Sterne für die Lage..... ansonsten empfehlenswert.
