Holiday destination

The Dresden district of Rockau lies in the middle of an extensive hiking area and in the "Elbhänge Dresden-Pirna and Schönfelder Hochland" nature reserve. For sightseeing, excursions and walks there are convenient driving possibilities to the centre of Dresden, Saxon Switzerland, Pillnitz, Meissen, Moritzburg, the Osterzgebirge, Lusatia and the Czech Republic. Rockau with its location 170 m above the Elbe offers a unique view over the Dresden Elbe valley and up to the crest of the Osterzgebirge (Eastern Ore Mountains).

Getting there

Directions by car: take the A4 until exit Dresden-Hellerau, keep right towards Dresden-Centrum / B6, on B6 towards Bischofswerda until tram terminus (track loop) in Dresden-Bühlau. Then, immediately turn right, follow the main road to Gönnsdorf, in the village centre straight ahead to Cunnersdorf, after the inn, turn right to Rockau, at the beginning of the village turn left into the Rockauer Ring and then right into Mittelweg.

Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Ruhige Lage. Die Ferienwohnung top, es wurden uns viele Ausflügungsziele erzählt. Die Familie Kratzsch war sehr nett. Gerne kommen wir wieder.
