Nestled between the Gailtal and Gurktal Alps, situated between Salzburg and Klagenfurt, lies one of Austria's most popular holiday regions – Lake Millstatt. It is 12 km long, 1.6 km wide, and up to 147 meters deep. By the way, it boasts drinking water quality.
The lake and its surroundings offer endless leisure activities. Swimming, fishing, diving, hiking, and biking are just a few to mention. The nearby and wider area has something to offer for every taste.
Here, the Nockberge National Park, the Maltatal valley, the Grossglockner mountain, and Gurk Cathedral are worth mentioning. Minimundus in Klagenfurt and Hochosterwitz Castle are also worth a visit. Venice is not very far away.
Getting there
From Munich, take the Tauern motorway via Salzburg to the Millstätter See motorway exit. Then continue via Millstatt to Dellach. In Dellach, turn left towards Sappl. In Sappl, turn right to Matzelsdorf.

Wir waren 8 Nächte hier und können es nur empfehlen. Die Vermieter leben mit im Haus und sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. In unmittelbarer Nähe gibt es mehrere Almhütten zum Wandern und Spezialitäten genießen. Mal abgesehen davon ist man hier nicht weit von Slowenien und Italien entfernt, was für uns jeweils einen Ausflug wert war. Zur Wohnung sei gesagt, daß alles was gebraucht wird vorhanden ist und alles sehr sauber ist. Vielen Dank für die schöne Zeit!!!

Wir waren schon mehrmals Gäste in dieser schönen Ferienwohnung. Das Haus liegt ruhig oberhalb vom Millstätter See. Die Wohnung ist geräumig, sehr gut ausgestattet und super sauber. Auf dem riesigen Balkon kann man herrlich entspannen. Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und geben gerne Ausflugstipps. Wir werden wieder dorthin fahren.
