Holiday destination
The mountain village Altrei is situated on a south-facing plateau with a Mediterranean climate, where wine is still cultivated at 1200m above sea level. Together with Mölten it is one of the highest wine-growing areas in South Tyrol.
Altrei is surrounded by wonderful spruce forests which offer great hiking possibilities. These forests are also great for meditation. In Altrei there is a free Kneipp facility, tennis courts and bicycle rental for a fee.
Altrei is also an ideal starting point for Dolomite hiking tours, mountain biking, Nordic walking, climbing and golf.
