Holiday destination
Centrally located in the fishing village of Cabanas, right in the heart of our tropical holiday complex, Oasis-Verde. Aside from birdsong and the sound of lapping waves, there is no noise to be heard. Shops, restaurants, and bars are all within a 200-meter walk. A bus stops in the village, and the train station—offering connections to Faro or Spain—is 2 km away. The 15 km-long sandy beach is situated on the island; small shuttle boats run back and forth constantly between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. for €1.50 (cheaper if buying a ten-trip pass). The beach features a gentle slope and firm sand—perfect for walking—and is 200 meters wide. In the low season, the beach is so empty that you could even swim naked.
