Holiday destination
Wrexen is situated in the vally of the Diemel and Orpe river. The surrounding is
well-wooded. The holiday house can be used as a base for hiking or biking as the common morning exercise or at sunset. The distance to the Diemel river and the nature park "Eggegebirge" is not more than 100 m. There you willl find in a distance of 2,5km a so called animal open-air enclosure with European bisons, Tarpans and other wild animals.
In the surounding you`ll find the picturesque old towns Bad Arolsen with the baroque palace, Warburg and Korbach.
In Marsberg there is an abandoned old copper mine, an old iron ore mine is near Diemelsee-Adorf. Both are open to puplic.
Barrier lakes nearby are the Twistesee (15km), Diemelsee (25km) and the Edersee (50km).

Das Haus hat uns gut gefallen.
Sehr nette und hilfsbereite Vermieter.
Leider unfreundliche Nachbarn. Sind mit unseren Hunden spazieren gegangen in einer Sackgasse, sind dann von zwei kleinen ""Fusshupen" attackiert worden,worauf wir von der Besitzerin angemacht wurden
das die Straße nicht öffentlich sei..
Was natürlich kompletter Unsinn ist. Ist wohl Verwandschaft von der hiesigen Fahrschule.
Für Hundebesitzer bietet sich das Wisensgehege super an.
Ansonsten haben wir unseren Urlaub genossen
