We also encourage you to visit Alcudia which is walled and has a well preserved historic centre, surrounded by imposing medieval walls dating back to the 14th century. Strolling through the narrow cobbled streets is like stepping back in time, with historic buildings, old churches and picturesque squares evoking the history and culture of the region. It's also a great place to sample the island's gastronomy. Thursdays and Sundays are market days and the town becomes a bustling and lively place. If you prefer to enjoy the sun and the beach, you can drive to Cap de Formentor, Son Serra de Marina, Platges de Muro or Puerto de Pollença. None of them will disappoint you.
