THE SURROUNDINGS – DISCOVER A DIFFERENT SIDE OF LANZAROTE
Guatiza is one of those villages where Lanzarote still follows its own natural rhythm. Whitewashed houses, narrow streets, volcanic landscapes and everyday life that doesn't revolve around tourism. Here, you're not staying in a holiday resort, but experiencing authentic island life.
Just a short walk from Casitas Santa Rita, you'll find a small supermarket and several restaurants. The famous Jardín de Cactus, one of César Manrique's most extraordinary creations, is also nearby.
Guatiza is a wonderful starting point for exploring northern Lanzarote: the green valleys around Haría, the remarkable caves of Jameos del Agua and Cueva de los Verdes, the volcanic landscape surrounding Volcán de la Corona and the wild stretches of coastline far from the main tourist resorts.
If you enjoy hiking, discovering little villages or simply walking along the coast, you'll find plenty of opportunities here. The wine-growing landscape of La Geria, with its extraordinary vines sheltered by volcanic stone walls, is also well worth a visit.
And the best thing about Guatiza? After a day full of discoveries, you return not to the bustle of a tourist resort, but to the peace and quiet of your own little hideaway.

Casita Luna is located in the peaceful village of Guatiza in northern Lanzarote, approximately 25 minutes by car from the airport.
We recommend renting a car to explore the island and its most beautiful places at your own pace.

Four years ago, we bought our house on Lanzarote, and more than three years ago, we moved to the island ourselves. We deliberately chose Guatiza – a small, traditional village away from the busy tourist resorts.
With Casitas Santa Rita, we wanted to create a place where we would love to spend our own holidays: peaceful, personal, with plenty of privacy and a genuine connection to the island.
We love Lanzarote not only for its landscapes, but above all for its people, stories and unique way of life. We love sharing that passion with our guests through personal tips and recommendations you won't find in every guidebook.
