Lezignan, a city where you can do everything, including airport for tours, skydiving (duo jump) and air diving. Every Wednesday morning there is a broad regional market. Terraces and many restaurants.
About 45 minutes from the "Cité" of Carcassone.
The beach of St. Pierre sur Mer or Narbonne Plage or Gruissan with its tasty fish restaurants and beaach.
And the safari park "Réserve Africaine"
Holiday destination
3 minutes to La Caunette, built into the cliffs.
5 minutes to the snail shaped village of Aigne and
5 minutes to the Cathar village of Minerve (Unesco), which is built on a cliff between two ravines.
10 minutes: Olonzac with its wonderful weekly Tuesday morning market and also a large supermarket and various terraces and, of course, many restaurants.
13 minutes from Olonzac to Homps, where there is a large lake "Lac de Jouares", with a beach for sunbathing and swimming and a grilling area, also water play options for children and a restaurant. Homps is very nicely located on the Canal du Midi
40 minutes to Lezignan, where there is a large regional market on Wednesday morning and many types of restaurant
40 minutes to Carcassonne (with the medieval city).
35 minutes to Narbonne, Thursday and Sunday morning market, the "Halles" are open every morning.
40 minutes to the beach
There is a regular "vide grenier" (flea market) on the streets
June 21 is the "fête de la musique", and this is unique in Narbonne!
In July and August, there are three days on the streets, often with lively music. Each village and town has its own dates for this.
Many cultural abbeys, caves and of course many many winemaking châteaux, where you can always go tasting!
Getting there
To Lyon, motorway toward Barcelona, exit at Narbonne Sud (No. 38) toward Marcorian, then drive to Saint Marcel, then twoard Aigues-Vives, then further to La Caunette. Follow the D 907 (toward Saint Pons) after 3 km. When you are in La Garrique, take the second dirt road on the right and you are here!

in jeannette and rené's holiday home. cozy and well taken care of, one can easily start to think about coming back next year into this lovely cottage! we enjoyed the beautiful landscape and the many opportunities to hike with our four dogs in the area. olonzac's beautiful market on tuesdays and the many vineries make a stay in winter as pleasant as in summer. rené and jeannette are lovely hosts we can only warmly recommend their place to families, singles and ... very important indeed ... dogowners!
auch im winter angenehm. wir und unsere 4 hunde können dieses ferienhaus nur empfehlen. jeannette und rené sind nett und äußerst korrekt: bereits eine woche nach unserer abreise war die abrechnung gemailt und der rest der kaution überwiesen.
