Holiday destination

2 kms away from the apartment is the pearl of Valle d’Itria, Ostuni, known as the White city. Its historic centre, of a dazzling and immense white, shows its best with the famous Cathedral that dominates the olive trees plain, the park of the coastal dunes and a crystal clear sea. They narrow alleys are very particular, as well as Piazza della Libertà and S. Oronzo column, that majestically protects the city. Few kms away from our villa, there is the amazing Area Marina Protetta Torre Guaceto, while its countryside reaches the heart of Valle d’Itria. Our guests can easily discover the amazing places of our land from here: Ceglie Messapica, historic town with a strong food and wine tradition; Cisternino, known as one of the most beautiful village in Italy; Alberobello, which is famous for its ancient dwellings, Trullos, world heritage since 1996. 40 kms north our guests can visit the archaeological park of Egnazia, or perhaps Polignano a Mare and Monopoli, old fishermen villages with evocative historic centres and enchanting beaches. Going further north, guests can find Bari, Eastern threshold, meanwhile going south they can discover Torre Guaceto nature reserve, then Brindisi and further Lecce, capital of Barocco. Taranto, the heart of Magna Grecia (ancient Greece) is west of Ostuni, and then Matera, particular for its Sassi and nominated European capital of culture for 2019. Brindisi (30 minutes) and Bari (60 minutes) are the closest airports to Ostuni.

A wonderful stay in a great location with easy walking distance to Ostuni. The Villa has a beautiful pool and lots of outdoor space for relaxing and enjoying the great views and peaceful countryside. Over the two houses, it has two good sized bedrooms and bathrooms, and a smaller bedroom with a single bed. The kitchen spaces are very small for the size of the property (galley style with limited facilities) but, due to the location so near the town, this wasn’t a problem for us. It may be an issue if you want to self cater for a larger group. The Wonderful Italy team met us on arrival and were so helpful answering a few questions we had during the stay (thank you!) They also came to stay goodbye which was nice! We would highly recommend this villa due to the location, beautiful pool and spacious grounds. The other facilities are quite basic (limited crockery, cooking utensils, personal touches, no welcome pack etc) but this does not detract from your stay (in our opinion)
