Holiday destination
The holiday home is located next to a small park in the heart of the village of Effeld.
Known for its gold and asparagus, the village has just over 1,200 inhabitants and is located in North Rhine-Westphalia on the border with the Netherlands, in the Maas-Schwalm-Nette Nature Park. It is located between the vast forests of the Meinweg, declared a nature reserve due to its scenic diversity, and the river and floodplain landscape of the Rur.
Effeld is known far beyond the region for its gastronomy (5 restaurants) and landscape.
Getting there
A46, exit for Hückelhoven West, Wassenberg, keep driving towards Roermond/NL, last roundabout before the border towards Effeld, then just follow the road which will eventually become the village road.

Wir waren mit unseren 4 Kindern da.Alle waren rund um zufrieden. Unsere großen konnten unten Tischtennis spielen und die kleinen am Haus,auf den Spielplatz gehen.Es fehlte uns im Haus,an nichts.Claudia war jederzeit Hilfsbereit und konnte uns gute Tipps geben,was wir noch schauen könnten.Es liegen auch viele Tipps im Haus. Der kleine Dorfladen hat leckere Brötchen, die wir täglich gekauft haben.Obst und andere Kleinigkeiten die fehlten,waren dort auch schnell zu bekommen.Sonst war man aber auch ruck zuck,in den Niederlanden:-)
