Rent a pedal boat in Maccagno, hire a motorized boat in Luino, visit the large Wednesday market in Luino with Italian specialties and fantastic leather goods, swim in Lake Maggiore, stroll along the lakeside promenade in places like Luino or Maccagno, hike to the Lago D'Elio reservoir (about 1 hour up and 1 hour down) at the mountain's summit.

The holiday home "Bella Barella", which means "Beautiful Place of Tranquility", is situated 350m above the lake in a quiet, natural location with a magnificent, unobstructed view of Lake Maggiore and the surrounding mountains.
The area is favorable for excursions on foot into a wildly romantic landscape and picturesque mountain villages, or by car to the nearby regions of Switzerland or Italy, as well as boat trips on the lake, for example, to the splendid Borromean Islands Isola Bella, Isola Madre, or Isola Pescatori.

Wir kommen bereits zum sechsten Mal in dieses wunderschöne Ferienhaus am Lago Maggiore und fühlen uns jedes Mal sofort wohl. Für uns ist es einfach perfekt. Die Vermieterin ist unglaublich nett und hilfsbereit, und im Haus fehlt es an nichts.
Nach einem stressigen Alltag kommt man hier sofort zur Ruhe. Der traumhafte Blick vom großen Balkon mit den beiden Markisen auf den See ist einfach unbezahlbar und sorgt schon bei der Ankunft für pure Entspannung.
Die Auffahrt ist zwar etwas abenteuerlich, aber dafür wird man mit dieser einmaligen Aussicht belohnt. Das Haus ist liebevoll eingerichtet, sehr sauber und bestens ausgestattet. Wir freuen uns schon auf unseren nächsten Aufenthalt und können dieses Ferienhaus nur wärmstens empfehlen.

Das Haus steht ganz frei in einer ruhigen kleinen Ansiedlung - keine Kirchenglocken, kein Hundegebell! Es gibt einen privaten Parkplatz direkt am Haus. Es ist von Palmen umgeben, morgens kommt von links langsam die Sonne um die Ecke und geht abends gegenüber unter. Der riesige Balkon mit der ihn gänzlich überspannenden Markise (!!!) ist phänomenal, mit einem schönen großen Holztisch. Im kühlen Souterrain mit der wunderschönen Natursteinterrasse liegen die Schlafräume, wir haben sehr gut geschlafen, mancher kann vielleicht weniger voluminöse Kissen gebrauchen. Die altmodischen Sessel sind wahnsinnig gemütlich, es gibt einfach ALLES, was man brauchen könnte. Das Fernglas war toll, um die Leute auf der Promenade gegenüber zu beobachten. Bella Barella hat Seele. Wir sind total verliebt und kommen wieder!
