Holiday destination
Kempen has about 120 inhabitants and is located in the high valley of the Eggegebirge - southern Teutoburg Forest (350 m). You can reach the highest point, the Velmerstot (464 m), in about one hour. Particularly noteworthy is the quiet location away from federal roads; you can also easily reach the larger cities of Detmold (approx. 18 km) and Paderborn (approx. 18 km). A campsite and a tractor museum can also be found in the village.

On the A 33 to the Paderborn-Elsen-Bad Lippspringe exit, turn onto the B 1 in the direction of Detmold/Hameln. Drive to just before Horn (about 22km), turn left and left again in the direction of Altenbeken (follow the sign for the tractor museum). after approx 7.2 km, choose the Kempen exit, and continue to the 2nd house on the right.

als Ausgangspunkt für Fahrten in die nähere Umgebung (Externsteine, Hermannsdenkmal, Detmold usw.) bestens geeignet. Die Gastgeber, das Ehepaar Schäfers, sind den Gästen zugewandt und hilfsbereit. Ein Urlaub in der Ferienwohnung Heidegarten, Terrasse, ist uneingeschränkt empfehlenswert.

Trotz der ruhigen Lage ist die Ferienwohnung für Tagesausflüge in die nähere Umgebung (z.B. Externsteine, Hermannsdenkmal, Detmold usw.) bestens geeignet.
