Once you've visited Egmond, you'll want to return time and again. There's plenty to do for both young and old. The center of Egmond aan Zee is just a 5-minute walk away. There you'll find fine restaurants, bicycle rental services, charming shops and boutiques, cozy sun terraces, as well as a large supermarket and a bakery. Stroll leisurely past the small shops and cafes towards the lighthouse and the boulevard, watching the sun set into the sea. Wander through the dune belt to one of the protected sandy paths in the area and find your way back.

Getting there

You will take the A12 from Germany towards Arnhem, Utrecht. At Utrecht, take the A2 towards Amsterdam. After about 25 km, take the A9 towards Amstelveen and then after 20 km continue on the A9 towards Alkmaar. Then take the Alkmaar/Heiloo exit, 3/4 roundabout towards Heiloo and then Egmond. Continue following the signs towards Egmond aan Zee.
